Wolf Characters
OOC Alias: ReD
Full Name: Genevieve Corbeau
Nick-Name:Vieve, (Veeve), Vee,
Gender: Female
Age: 19
Orientation:Straight
Age Bitten: 4
Wolf Description: Vieve makes for a large wolf, with her long legs and wide head making her quite intimidating looking. Vieve resembles a Mackenzie Valley Wolf in terms of size and stature, but her coat coloration varies. A wispy silver on her underside and accents, her coat darkens towards gray and eventually black on the ends. She lacks the common brown markings on the face of a timber wolf, instead having the white 'eyebrows' over her dark facial mask. Vieve's blue-gray eyes are almost unrecognizable as human eyes; their coloration resembles that of a regular wolf. Only the shape seems to be slightly off, but its nearly impossible to tell unless close up. Vieve's ears are also slightly tattered looking as a wolf. What might be mistaken for teethmarks and rips from fights are really the holes from piercings.
Physical Description: As a human, Vieve almost still resembles
a wolf. Her skin tends to be pale and almost gaunt looking, stretched
over her thin frame in a way that makes her look feral. Her eyes,
in contrast, seem even brighter, though they are unmistakably blue.
Vieve has thick, dark hair that is often cut into a ragged, edgy style.
Its difficult to tell if her hair is naturally black, or died in order to
make whatever color she has chunked in shine through. None the less, her hair does have a natural shine to it that she often keeps covered up beneath a slouchy hat.
Vieve favors a comfortable, almost military style. Cargo pants and a tight, black t-shirt are a favored style of hers. As hunting clothes tend to be the warmest, many of Vieve's pants tend to be camo patterned, with the arctic variety being her favorite.
Vieve walks with a long, confident stride that does nothing to hide the power she carries in her lengthy legs. An excellent runner, Vieve often spends time crashing through the forest in the summer to prepare herself for the winter. When she talks, Vieve has a habit of crossing and uncrossing her arms, as though indecisive over whether she cares or not.
Personality:
Stubborn- Vieve doesn't like anyone getting the upper
hand or taking control of things. She's quite stubborn when it
comes to her position on almost everything. It takes Vieve quite
a while to make up her mind about something; when she does,
the evidence has to be pretty damn convincing. Vieve's
stubbornness goes a step further when it comes to the cold; having
been changing for so long, she knows her limits and tends to work
with them in order to get the most done. On the downside, Vieve's
stubborn personality often makes her hard to work with and makes
her come across as bossy and intimidating, especially to new
people.
Observant- Vieve has always had sharp eyes when it comes
to people and their habits. Despite being a relatively anti-social
person, Vieve tends to know how to read people. Body language
has always been an interest to her, and became an asset to her
once it came time to running a pack. For the most part, Veive
pays attention to everything. She tends to talk less to people
the first few times until she gets a feel for their reactions. Very
little tends to get past Vieve, and when it does, there's hell to pay.
Apathetic: The first impression many people get of Veive
is that she just doesn't care about anything. This isn't entirely
inaccurate. Vieve loves to learn and is enjoying her time taking
online college classes, but she doesn't care enough about
appearances or most people to really make an effort. News that
would stun most blows right by her, and as a result, Veive tends
to be considered cold.
Distrusting: Part of Vieve's success has come from not trusting
anyone. A good portion of her problems happen this way, too.
Instead of trusting that a job will get done or that someone will
come through in a tough situation, Vieve spends so much time
planning and panicking and worrying that she exhausts herself.
As a result, if Veive does need to come through for herself, the
work gets done rather half-assed.
Sly: If Veive needs to go over someone's head, under
their feet, or even behind their back to get something done, she
will do it. Often times, the person she's going around doesn't
even realize it has happened. Veive's interests often conflict
with other people's. As a result, people have begun to have
the idea that Vieve is involved in some sort of underhand idea;
She has to many connections to NOT be involved with a mob
or gang of some sort. Of course, she imagines it'd be interesting
for them to learn that the 'gang' spends time eating their garbage
during the winter.
Superstitious: Vieve knows werewolves are real. She's
not sure if its science or magic, nor does she care enough to find
out. Despite her confident acceptance in forever becoming a wolf,
Vieve is paranoid about ruining any time she has as a human. She
loves Friday the 13th...because it falls on days she isn't human.
Vieve is very involved in making sure her office space and shop
is set up in a fung-sui kind of way, keeps her new shoes off
the table, buries mirrors after breaking them, and only planting
on certain phases of the move.
History: Vieve has spent 15 of her winters outside in the cold.
She barely remembers celebrating Christmas or staying up to watch
the fireworks on New Years Eve. Instead, Vieve remembers the
snow.
Veive and her family were originally from the New-York Canadian
border area. Her father had been bitten some years before on
a trip in Northern Michigan, and her mother managed to explain
his winter trips as business and time spent overseas with the
Army. When Veive was four, they decided to move to the Mercy
Falls area. Hiding a wolf in New York was starting to get difficult.
Her father's black pelt was too distinct to be mistaken for a coyote,
and the family wanted to move to an area with a existing wolf
population in order to help him hide more. Who knew the other
wolves would be like he was?
It was late October when Vieve was bitten. Her father had
changed-surprisingly early from his late December change the year
before. The weather, it turns out, was much colder in Mercy Falls.
Vieve didn't understand what was happening, and decided to chase
her now wolf father around the house. She didn't expect him to
bite; after all, he was just a big puppy. It was the smallest nick-
barely a scratch, really. But it was enough, and come the end
of the month, Vieve was joining her father in the woods.
Her mother managed to explain both their absences now by saying
that Veive's father was sick, and had gone back to New York
to receive treatment. Supposedly, Vieve was staying with him in
order to have the most time with them as possible. It wasn't a lie.
Vieve was 7 when her father changed for the last time. He still
waits for her every winter, a stubborn black shadow at the edge
of her yard. Since then, Veive has made modifications to the
house in order to accommodate her new schedule. Her entire
bedroom became a canvas for her paints, with sprawling dead
trees taking up a portion. Her skill with drawing eventually granted
her a job at her father's old store, Bitter Ink, were she works
during the summer when she's 'in from college'.
When she was 13, Vieve met a homeless man. He fascinated
her in the way he sat stubbornly in the cold, trying to get warm.
Vieve wanted to give him a way to be warm forever. She eventually
become friends with the man, considered a drunk by most. He
knew what she was.
Vieve turned him and took away his winters. He was no longer
hungry with a warm deer to feed him in the cold. The next year,
Vieve met a run away who didn't want her abusive father to find
her. Vieve solved that problem, too. Eventually, Vieve had earned
a reputation for solving problems like this with her solution. Most
of her pack is satisfied with their lives, but a few have started
looking for a cure.
